Background storyFor the 321 Tigers the annual "Tiger Meet" of the NATO Tigers is 2011 dominated by two events:
- for one celebrates the NATO Tiger Association the 50th anniversary of its founding and
- furtheron the 321 Tigers their 15th year of full membership in the NATO Tiger Association.
For the first time ever the 321 Tigers have their new Tigerjet designed in a public design competition on their homepage. Out of the numerous proposals the squadron members select the design of Thomas "TOM" Marschik as the winning design. His special paint renders homage to the numerous former Tigerjets of the 321 Tigers. Elements of 46+35 from 1994, 46+45 from 1996 as well as of 46+44 from 2001 have been placed on it but without losing the originality as a new "Tiger". Expressivity and a clear design in the typical 321 footprint with lots of details stand in the center of this project.
