Background story

FBW 38 TORNADO ECR 46+46 shown with electronic combat jammer Cerberus C-III, external underwing tank, captive (not flyable) air-to-air missile AIM-9L(i) SIDEWINDER and air-to-ground missile HARM (high speed anti-radiation missile).

Before all (at that time) brandnew TORNADO ECR were transferred to FBW 32 in Lechfeld, they were stationed in Jever where one of two future ECR Squadrons was set to service. For several reasons after a short time the Luftwaffe decided to station both squadrons in Lechfeld and to transfer the whole FBW 32 from TORNADO IDS to ECR.
